Google Seeking Young Artists
Google has announced the second annual Doodle for Google competition for students. This competition offers young artists the chance to design the Google logo and perhaps have their artwork seen by people all over the world. Doodles will be judged in grade-level brackets. The theme for the U.S. competition is "If I could do anything, I would...?"
Exemplary Earth Science Lessons Workshop for 6th Grade Teachers
RIMS CTAP and the CyberTEAM Project at Cal State San Marcos invite 6th grade science teachers to a free all-day workshop to learn about exemplary Earth science lessons created and field tested by 6th grade science teachers from the CyberTEAM Project. This one day workshop will be held on March 24, 2010 at the Riverside County Office of Education.

iTELL: integrating Technology for English Language Learners
Registration is now open for integrating Technology for English Language Learners (iTELL), a three-day program designed to prepare teachers to implement research-based strategies that integrate technology in their classrooms. A workshop is available in Riverside on March 16, 17, and 25.

Call for Student Projects
RIMS CTAP is seeking innovative student curriculum technology integration projects in Riverside, Inyo, Mono, and San Bernardino counties. Applications are now being accepted from educators to bring a group of five students to the 7th annual State Student Technology Showcase in Palm Springs on Saturday, March 6, 2010.
